Building Bridges: How Patient Cohorts can be Leveraged for Preclinical Oncology R&D

This webinar introduces the Patient Cohorts Platform of Oncode Accelerator, and its role in supporting Demonstrator Projects: preclinical oncology discovery and development projects co-funded by Oncode Accelerator.

Iman Schultz, PhD, Project Manager of Oncology Patient Cohorts (Oncode Accelerator and UMC Utrecht), opens with an overview of the Patient Cohorts Platform as a whole, explaining how it is structured and how it enables Demonstrator Projects to access patient data and materials that can  make preclinical oncology research more predictive and patient-centric.

Regina de Geus, Project Manager National Patient Cohorts (UMC Utrecht), follows with a closer look at our Head & Neck/Hematology Patient Cohort specifically, walking through how this cohort is set up, and what makes it a valuable resource for Demonstrator Projects aiming to develop novel therapeutics in these areas.

Finally, Professor Dr. Monique Minnema (UMC Utrecht) closes the session with practical examples of how preclinical research can leverage patient data and materials. She will explain how the Hematology department of UMC Utrecht collaborates with the Patient Cohorts Platform, and provide tangible case studies of what this looks like in practice.

You will leave the webinar with a clear understanding of what the Oncode Accelerator Patient Cohorts Platform can offer drug developers, and how to start collaborating. We hope to welcome you there.
