Establishing Preclinical Development Pipelines for Four Types of Cancer Therapies
To improve the development of cancer therapies, we are integrating, scaling up, and innovating preclinical development infrastructure for four key types of cancer therapies, represented by our Workstreams:

Small Molecules
Small molecules play a crucial role in cancer therapy due to their targeted action, ease of administration, and adaptability in combination therapies. Their ability to overcome drug resistance and the historical success of small molecule therapies underscores their significance in oncology. -
Biologics
Antibodies and antibody-based therapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), bispecific antibodies (bsAbs) and antibody-drug conjugations (ADCs), are powerful tools. While the diversity and complexity of tumors makes it difficult to develop effective drugs, the precision and engineering potential of antibodies makes them a powerful tool to direct the immune system to destroy cancer cells or deliver cytotoxic payloads with high specificity. -
Cell and Gene Therapy
Cell and gene therapy utilizes immune cells from patients or healthy donors, which undergo ex vivo processing or genetic modification so that they can better recognize and destroy cancer cells. By harnessing the power of the immune system and genetic modification, these therapies can target cancer cells with greater precision, thereby reducing side effects and improving patient outcomes. -
Therapeutic Vaccines
Therapeutic vaccines are an innovative approach to cancer immunotherapy that aim to instruct the patients’ immune system on what cancer cells 'look like,' so that the immune system can recognize and eliminate tumors. Ideally, therapeutic cancer vaccines not only induce tumor regression and eradicate minimal residual disease, but also establish anti-tumor memory to protect patients on a longer-term basis.

Our mission is bold: we aim to collaboratively optimize and accelerate the development of new cancer therapies for the benefit of patients of all ages. We do this by innovating the development pipelines represented by our Workstreams through incorporation of well-defined patient cohorts, organoid models and AI into the infrastructure.
Our Patient-Centric Approach to De-Risking
We believe in human-first preclinical oncology. By integrating patient data and materials and patient-relevant models into early stages of preclinical therapy development, we can better predict the effectiveness of newly developed therapies for specific patient groups, de-risk projects, and speed up the development process.​
